There are different abnormalities of the toe, which can cause severe pain, aching, tenderness, and discomfort. Hammer toe is one of these abnormalities that can become deformed and appear unsightly. One of these deformities results in the toe being curled, bent, or leaning towards the other toes, caused by a bend in the toe joint, which is due to the tendons and ligaments being tightened forcing the joints to buckle, and pushing the toe at an angle, which is mainly caused by ill fitting footwear, especially shoes that are too tight. Bunions are an abnormal prominence of the joint in the big toe, which can push the toe sideways toward the other toes. Bunions and hammer toes often develop together, when tendons and ligaments stretch and tighten allowing no toe movement, leads to the toes deformities. Foot corns are a common complaint on the toes and feet, which again are caused by ill fitting footwear that puts pressure on the toes. Corns go deep into the toe, with layers of dead skin forming a cone shape with a point at the bottom and a raised top, because of the shape the pressure on the tip of the corn can cause severe pain and discomfort. _________________ Cosmetic Surgery Advice |
