Platysmaplasty is a cosmetic surgery operation commonly known as a neck lift. This procedure has been designed to remove excess skin, and tighten the remaining tissues on the neck and under the jaw line, to restore the visual signs of youth. A necklift can be combined with other cosmetic surgical procedures, such as a face lift, brow lift, and a jowl lift. Platysmaplasty and Cervicoplasty are both surgical procedures that are used to correct the muscles in the neck and remove excess saggy skin, also introducing liposuction that aspirates any unwanted fatty deposits and sucks them out through a tube known as a cannula and a vacuum pump. A necklift is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures performed in today’s society on both men and women.
