Thermo-Auricular Therapy is known in the practice as Hopi Ear Candling, or a shortened version TAT. Hopi Ear Candling is a technique that involves placing a burning candle in the ear. The main reason for ear candling is that it can allegedly draw out wax from the ears. Ear candling is also known to detoxify and treat other ailments that are unconnected with the ear, for example headaches, tension, migraines and stress Hopi ear candling not only removes wax from the ears but has a relaxing and calming effect on the patient. Hopi ear candling is an aesthetic treatment that is directed to the inner ear for the removal of wax.
